Join us for kids yoga. Ages kindergarten to 5th grade.
This class will include moving and stillness with lots of fun games! No equipment necessary. Participants are welcome to bring their own mat. Please wear comfortable (not too loose) clothing and bring a water bottle. It is best not to eat 1 to 2 hours before class. All are welcome - modifications will be offered for limited mobility. A few of the benefits of yoga for children include better balance, strength and flexibility, increased spatial awareness, compassion for self and others and longer attention span.
Dr. Ashley DeLuccia is a certified yoga teacher, specializing in emotional regulation techniques and breathwork for kids. Her PhD is in using these strategies for students with special needs. She often incorporates nervous system regulation practices like yoga nidra in her sessions. In addition to teaching in schools, she loves supporting parents and families with strategies for staying calm and happy
