The Writer Support Network

6:00 PM – 7:45 PM
Milton Branch

Description

1st Tuesday of each month
6:00 PM - 7:45 PM

This almost two-hour creative writing workshop led by Alex White (author of A Big Ship at the Edge of the Universe) is designed to support writers at all stages. The first hour is dedicated to writing, with participants warming up by stretching, revisiting works in progress, or responding to a provided prompt.

In the second hour, each writer reads up to five minutes of their work and discusses any challenges they face. Rather than offering critiques or suggestions, fellow participants engage through moderated discussion by asking thoughtful questions and sharing their own creative struggles. The focus is on fostering a supportive environment that helps each writer move closer to their unique goals.

Every Wednesday
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Come and join us for our weekly write-in! The Milton Writer Support Network is here to provide a place where you can quietly work on your masterpiece, diary entries, news articles and any other writing that strikes your fancy. Bring your headphones if you want to listen to some tunes while you write, and then take a few minutes to connect with your community. This is a great opportunity to meet other writers in the area.
