This is a WoTC adventure modified and abbreviated to one-shot form: Life in Godsbreath centers on community and agriculture, with its people working tirelessly to tend their land and sustain one another. Yet each year, the once-fertile Ribbon—its soil stained a troubling crimson—grows less productive. Desperate to make up for the loss, young farmers and adventurers have begun planting along the perilous borderlands known as the Rattle. Despite the ever-present threat of monstrous predators, new volunteers continue to risk their lives there. If the Ribbon’s bounty keeps fading, learning to survive in the Rattle may be the only way to keep Godsbreath alive. But the Rattle holds more than wild beasts. Local legends speak of a terrifying undead creature—a soul shaker—stalking the blood-soaked fields.

Meanwhile, a young farmer named Kianna has been missing for over a month, prompting her distraught aunt to appeal to The Table for aid. The Table has publicly posted the quest, and today’s party has accepted it in hopes of earning both coin and a place in the Hall of Heroes. Will they find Kianna? And if they do, will they bring her home safely—or return only with her body?
