This week we will have a special guest! Author Sherri McDonald will be reading her book Love Grew Me, a beautiful story based on her journey to motherhood with the help of in vitro fertilization (IVF). Her book uses accessible language and colorful illustrations to show children that not all families are formed the same way, and is an excellent aid for a conversation with kids about a topic they may already have encountered in their lives. Sherri will stick around afterwards for some guided activities and conversation.

Sherri McDonald Sawyerr is a devoted mother, author, and advocate for families formed through donor conception and IVF. Inspired by her own journey to motherhood, she wrote Love Grew Me to help parents share their unique stories with love, warmth, and confidence. Passionate about storytelling and representation, Sherri creates heartfelt books that ensure every child feels seen, valued, and cherished. She lives with her amazing husband, adorable daughter, and sweet dogs in Atlanta, Georgia. Sherri embraces the joys of motherhood and empowers parents to navigate their journeys with love and pride.
