Drop Everything and Read!

3:00 PM – 5:30 PM
Metropolitan Branch

Description

Alright STOP, collaborate, and sit down.

"Drop Everything and Read" is a national celebration of reading designed to remind families to make reading a priority activity in their lives. This day honors author Beverly Cleary’s birthday. “D.E.A.R. time” was a reading practice featured in her Ramona books. We’ll even have a space set aside to sit down in a cozy chair with a cup of tea* without any distractions! Even if you can’t make it to the library, we still encourage you to D.E.A.R.

*We’ll have some teas but you do have to bring your own mug!
