Good Talk
a Memoir in Conversations
For AAPI Heritage Month 2024, Kirkwood Library's display pays homage to Asian-American, Asian, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander authors. We honor fiction and non-fiction literary works written by the indigenous, diasporic and displaced peoples of this heritage born or living in America, Hawaii, or the Pacific Islands, as well as cultural accounts from their ancestral territories. A Brief Introduction to South Asia: South Asia is home to India, one of the largest countries-with the largest population in the world to match and a vibrant cultural hub. With culture no less vibrant, the peoples of the countries of Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan, Bhutan, and Maldives also call this region their homeland. Curated by Library Associate Maya P as an installment within an ongoing CCC (Curated Cultural Collection) series.
